Hi All,

My eldest daughter who is in Norway, had her tonsils out last Thursday, all has been well so far until this morning. I received a call from the hospital at 6.30am, I awoke with a start and an even bigger one when I realised it was Siobhan. She was given the doctors home, mobile and the hospital's phone numbers to call if she had any bleeding at all.

This morning she wakened with her mouth bleeding and her pillow all marked. The hospital were called and wanted to send an ambulance to get her, but she asked if she could come by car as it is only 15 minutes away. So now she is in hospital for at least 24 hours for observation, they have her on a drip for fear they need to cauterise it again. I spoke to her a short time ago, she said she would rather be home playing with her cat. I'm sure all will be well and she will get out soon. You worry about them just as much when they are grown up. Oh lorna! Quite a worry.

I had my tonsils out when I was 18 and wow that hurt like billy-o.

Plus they made me eat toast to "help the scarring". They did let me have ice lollies tho!ThumpUp

Oh Lorna-it's horrible getting phone calls that wake us up, you sort of KNOW it's going to be bad news. Let's hope it's a blip that can soon be put right and at least she is being looked after.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi Lorna

How awful for you to get a call like that. I wish your daughter well and hope she will be back playing with her cats soon.

Love Shirley x
